And We Have A Roof

The colorbond roof for the new living area was finally completed today. We are super excited as now we have a 3-D space of the area. We were getting quite sick of the wet and miserable cold weather. Now, with the new roof, everything can be weather-tight and dry. It's all slowly coming together and taking shape right before our eyes and it is very exciting.
On another note, the concrete sheets for the kitchen floor are now fully installed too, ready for tiling. The new wooden frame for the new western red cedar doors has also been installed. Needless to say, we're pretty pleased with the progress.

Hubby and I spent some time today working out the height for the placement of our brass wall sconces. We have asked the builder to install timber battens at our required height so the sconces can be screwed into timber during the final electrical install. We were a little surprised that the buidler did not bring this issue up with us himself. We have shown him the brass wall sconces that we will be installing. They are solid brass and weigh a good couple of kilos. There is no way in the world a gryprock wall would be able to hold their weight.
