Trenches For The Concrete Slab

Work has now begun on the trenches for the concrete slab. With the pace and progess of the work, we should be on track for pouring the slab soon.

We have started looking for stone slabs for our vanity tops. Our search has led us to Tillett's. We have been in contact with Karen, who has been very helpful. Our plan is to go for stone slabs that are discounted - either leftovers from a previous job, or a slab they're trying to clear. Easier said than done actually, because the colourings on the stone has to match our cabinets, as well as our stone tiles.

We took a sample in to Gary's today to check the colourings with the cabinets and tiles. I'm not sure I am totally happy with it. The colours are a little too cool. The cabinets and tiles need much warmer tones.
