Our New Ensuite and WIR

Work continues on our new ensuite and WIR (formerly bedroom number 2). In the meantime, I headed down to Gary's to work out the measurements for our vanities. After much deliberation, hubby and I decided that two cabinets with the correct measurements for what we needed for our sinks don't come along very often. And although Gary had already completed the conversion of the first cabinet to suit the huge sink we have for the family bathroom, we will have to redo that cabinet to suit the ensuite instead.

Measuring for cabinet conversion

Poor Gary was really good about the whole thing. Armed with our measuring tape and bits of paper, we spent about an hour measuring out the new measurements for the cabinet.

When I got home, I realised that our builder had ripped the floorboards out from the second bedroom and was prepping the floor for the new concrete flooring that was going in. The space looks deceivingly roomy but I know that this will not be the case when the wall separating the ensuite and the WIR goes up. I'm glad we decided to keep the original height of the ceiling in the WIR.

For now, it's full steam ahead!!!!!

Floorboards are gone
