The Never-Ending Pavers

Faced with the prospect of having to lift the rest of the pavers in the driveway by the end of the week (our builder wants to bring his equipment in for demolition), we had no choice but to enlist the help of some volunteers. Hubby's friends from work were very kind to volunteer to help us. They arrived right and early in the morning.

Hard at work

It was amazing how two extra sets of hands made the job appear so much easier. By the time afternoon came around, more than half the driveway had been done. We were feeling much more confident that we could finish the job on time.

Half the driveway done

The boys were in-charge of lifting the brick pavers and I was in-charge of stacking them along the side of the house. At the moment, the front and side of the house has been taken over my rows and brick pavers. They will have to remain there until the renos are done and the driveway can be repaved again.

Later in the evening, when daylight had faded into dusk, our arms, hands and fingers feelings that lead, we had this to show for a full day of hard work - only less than a quarter of the driveway still remains.

Only less than 1/4 remaining
