How We Spent The Easter Weekend

It has officially begun. We have begun renovations on our house by ripping up the pavers in the driveway. Works began on Easter Sunday, starting from the shed. The newly renovated area will have to be paved anyway so we figured it would make sense to remove the existing pavers so they don't get damaged by the builder's equipemtn and the various other tradespeople who will be in and out of the place. In addition to that, the existing pavers were placed to high up and had to be redone to minimise termite risk anyway.
All I can say is we did not anticipate how back-breaking the work would be. We spent an entire day removing each paver by hand and by the end of the day, all we had to show for it was about a sixth of the driveway cleared out. Two days of work has seen about less than a quarter of the driveway cleared. We are so disheartened and sore, no words can describe it. My hands are so sore from lifting those heavy pavers, I can barely feel it.
