Vanity For The Family Bathroom

Gary called to tell us that our vanity conversion for the family bathroom is complete. I couldn't resist heading down right away to check it out. A month ago, I had complained to Gary that I could not find a suitable vanity for the bathrooms - everything I have seen was either too modern or too expensive. We found some French-styled ones at Early Settler but the quality was appalling and the prices, scandalous!!!

I went to see Gary at Davenport Interiors, hoping to find a cheap commode that I could convert into a vanity. Gary was horrified that I would consider mutilating one of his beautiful commodes for such a purpose, and he suggested converting a cabinet instead. He said it could be done rather easily, and showed me an early 20th century french oak cabinet he had in store. After checking the measurements, I realized that it was perfect. The top could be easily altered to take the large undermount sink I had already purchased for the family bathroom.

I quickly got hubby to have a look and we were both pleased with the price (much less than some other modern ones I had seen at Reece. Then we were left to wait while Gary did his work.
