Our Tiles Have Arrived

Sally from Ceramica Tile + Design called me to let me know that our french-patterned travertine tiles have arrived. Hubby had to head down to have a quick look at the tiles. They are al packed in their lots, as each lot have different sizes which makes up the french pattern. Sally is happy to store them at their warehouse until we need them delivered. We are very excited!

After much discussion, we have decided to leave the tiles unfilled. Yes, it will probably accumulate dirt, but we want them to develop a patina and colour. One of the reasons I fell in love with travertine was its natural beauty and we feel that we should try to preserve that. The tiles will still have to be sealed to protect them so that will add a bit of a sheen to them already.
