Our Haul From The Reed Gift Fair

Late last month, hubby and I went to the Reed Gift Fair in Melbourne. This fair is the biggest gift and homeware trade fair in Australia. Brandon used to visit this fair annually for gift-purchasing for his work. We thought it would be a great way to purchase stuff for the home. It was a crazy one-day dash to Melbourne and back, and a full day of trawling through the hundreds of stands who were selling their wares.

We found a company called La VIda, who had great French-inspired pieces that looked like pretty good quality. We also found another stand that sold marble chopping and serving boards, and copper serving bowls. We didn't buy many items as we have no room for it at the moment and it didn't make sense to have to worry about packing up even more items before the renos.

The pair of bedside tables that we found at La Vida arrived today. They match perfectly with the bed we bought for the guestroom. We also bought a collection of glass jars. They retail for about $20 each and I got them for only $4. Bargain!!!

We're pretty happy with our haul and plan to return to the fair after we are settled into our newly renovated home for more goodies.
