A Bed For The Guest Room

My sister told me about this provincial style store at the Mile End Homemaker Centre. Of course I had to check it out over the weekend. When we arrived, we saw huge 'SALE' sign on the window. Wandering through the Provincial Home Living store, we heard soft French music wafting through the speakers. I was happily humming along to Yves Montand when we saw this bed on display. It was on sale. While it was clearly a reproduction, the styling was rather accurate, the colour palette was very neutral, and the sale price was very reasonable for a queen sized bed with a metal frame and wooden slats.
Hubby was quick to agree. The bed would be perfect in our guest room. Instead of the more formal Louis XV style, we could decorate the guest room in the provençale style for a change. It would match the black chandelier in the room, and give it a more relaxed, laid back look. We bought the bed!!
Wandering through the store, I found lots of other small little accents and decorating items that I would come back to purchase once the house is done. There are some cute French style items. However, beware the spelling and grammar on some items as they are incorrect. Still, it is a lovely store with some nice things that would make a house a home.
