All For The Princess

The alarm sensors had to be replaced. There was no way around it. Our little princess lives indoors and we had to get pet-friendly sensors put in for her. This is where our planning went out the window. We had had the ceiling painted only a week ago so we could have the chandeliers installed.
Being a house that's over 100 years old, the wires had to be chased into the masonry wall. This meant clouds of red dust, and an ugly looking scar on the wall that will have to be filled and rendered over for a clean finish. We should have left the painting of the ceiling and light fittings till the very last. And this is even before hubby telling me that the air conditioning vents will have to be relocated, which means the old vents will have to be covered up and new one will have to be cut into the plastered ceiling. Yikes!!!!
